Hardware Return & SaaS Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: April 15, 2026
1. B2B Enterprise Agreements
The Museum of Camp Inc exclusively serves enterprise exhibition operations. All platform access and hardware deployments are governed by multi-year B2B contracts. As such, standard consumer right-of-withdrawal directives (e.g., EU 14-day cooling-off periods) do not apply to our enterprise infrastructure contracts.
2. Software (SaaS) Cancellation
The The Museum of Camp Inc cloud ingestion platform and dispatch dashboard are billed annually in advance. Mid-cycle cancellations will not result in a prorated refund of the software licensing fee. If you choose to terminate your contract early, you will retain read-only access to historical data for 60 days to facilitate off-boarding, after which all data will be purged.
3. Edge Hardware Returns (OBD-II / J1939 Nodes)
The Museum of Camp Inc hardware nodes are provided on a Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS) model. You do not own the nodes. Upon contract cancellation or expiration, all nodes must be returned.
- Return Window: Hardware must be postmarked within 30 days of contract termination.
- Missing or Damaged Nodes: If a node is not returned, or returned with damage exceeding standard operational wear-and-tear (e.g., cut harnesses, water damage from cab leaks, or signs of physical tampering), a replacement penalty of $350.00 USD per node will be invoiced to the payment method on file.
- Shipping Costs: The Museum of Camp Inc provides prepaid, insured freight labels for hardware returns.
4. Defective Hardware Replacement (RMA)
If an edge node fails during the active contract period due to manufacturing defects, The Museum of Camp Inc will overnight ship a pre-configured replacement node at zero cost. The defective node must be returned using the provided packaging within 14 days to avoid the non-return penalty fee.
5. Initiation of RMA / Return
To initiate a hardware return or report a defective edge node, the designated technical administrator must file a ticket via the The Museum of Camp Inc Support Portal or email rma@museumofcamp.com with the node's MAC address and the associated Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
